Create from the body outward.
Evera is a space where movement becomes the source of artistic work. Through small workshops, writers, singers, painters and makers return to the body as the starting point for everything they create.
The body is the first studio.
Before the page, the voice, the brush, the chisel,
there is a body that listens, weighs, breathes, leans in.
Evera workshops begin there.
We move, and then we make.
Four ways to move into making.
Each workshop is a small circle, capped at eight, held over a long afternoon. We move together for the first hour and a half. The rest of the time, we make.
Move & Write
Somatic prompts paired with writing scores. We loosen the spine, then the sentence. Bring a notebook you love.
3 / 8 seats left No. 02Move & Sing
Voice is breath shaped by the body. We move from feet to ribs to throat, until song is the natural next thing.
4 / 8 seats left No. 03Move & Calligraphy
Brush, ink, breath. We trace the body's arcs onto paper. Materials and instruction provided.
5 / 8 seats left No. 04Move & Paint
Large paper, wet pigments, whole arms. Painting becomes choreography. Aprons supplied.
6 / 8 seats left
The body is the content and the container.
Evera is led by Yun Ki Michelle, a physical therapist, yoga teacher and somatic movement educator practising in Utrecht and Bilthoven since 2016. The work draws on the Laban / Bartenieff Movement System, qi gong, yoga, and a decade in clinical physical therapy.
Evera was founded in 2026 as a space dedicated to one idea: that artists make better work, and live easier in their craft, when they create from the body outward. The workshops are small, slow, and warm. Everyone leaves with something made.
A year of circles.
Documentation from previous workshops, residencies, and quieter studio days.
Voices from the circle.
By the time we picked up our pens, the writing was already moving. I left with three pages I would never have found at my desk.
Michelle holds the room with so much warmth. My voice arrived in places I had been straining toward for years.
It changed how our company approaches rehearsal. Precise, generous, and somehow also playful.
Hold a place in the circle.
Which circle?
Fieldnotes, once a season.
A quiet email each season with the next workshops, a reading, and a movement to try at home. No selling. Unsubscribe whenever.
